VINCENT VAN GOGH AND THE STARRY NIGHT

Painted in 1889 by Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, the Starry Night is one of the most recognizable paintings in Western art and has been in the permanent collection © MoMA (New York. Museum of Modern Art) since 1941.

Dutsch Vincent van Gogh was born in 1853 and emerged as one of the most famous figures in the history of Western art after his death.

He only painted during the last ten years of his life, during which period he created more than 2,000 works of art. Most of his 1,100 drawings and works on paper and nearly 900 oil paintings were produced during the last two years of his life.and yet he is still celebrated as one of the most influential artists in Western art.
