This beautiful silver white Messenger Bag is unique and numbered made by hand from high-quality vintage Nishijin brocade hand-woven in Kyoto, the ancient capital of Japan famous for its textile tradition. The brocade was used for an obi - the wide sash tied over a kimono. It has been preserved carefully and is in an excellent condition - a beautiful hand-woven piece of fabric with a story. The motive of this fabric is seigaiha pattern of overlapping circles symbolic of the ebb and flow of life. Maybe it has been used for a wedding kimono.
The bag has an inner pocket and is fitted with a handwoven obijime - the strap used to keep the sash in place and as a decoration on the kimono. The bag comes with a certificate.
